In a few words:
U.K. was without a doubt a super-band.John Wetton, Bill Bruford (King Crimson), Eddie Jobson (Roxy Music) and Allan Holdsworth (Soft Machine, Gong) play exactly what you expect from them. A mix of prog rock with jazz and fusion. It is nonsense to talk about technique All of them are experts in their instruments. U.K. is probably one of the last post-punk (concerning the time that it was released) progressive albums in 70's that kept the prog flame alive during the punk period of music.
Personal highlights:
"By The Light Of Day", "Thirty Years" and "Nevermore"
