In a few words:
Rökkurró is a folk band from Iceland and Það Kólnar I Kvöld (which means "It Gets Colder Tonight") is their debut album that was released at 2007. Their music could be described as folk with some post rock influences. Acoustic guitar, accordion, cello and violin are the main instruments that are used in their songs. All the songs have very beautiful melodies and very good female vocals. The album has a dark, and melancholic, atmosphere, which is enhanced from the use of their Icelandic language. Another way to describe this album is: "A more folk-ish version of Sigur Ros, but without their electric outbreaks".
Personal highlights:
"Hún", "Ferðalangurinn" and "Í Blíðu Stríði"
